Tristar Martial Arts Academy

Message: Our son started at Tristar just over 3 years ago at the age of 4. He went through their entire program for little kids and is now enrolled in the regular program. I love the focus and confidence that training at Tristar has given him. I also deeply appreciate the respect for others they instill in their students. In addition, the safety training they go through in every lesson has been wonderful. I am confident that my son would know what to do should someone try to grab him.. All of these things are wonderful, but the best thing about Tristar is the instructors and staff. They are fabulous and world-class. Not only do they know their stuff, but they are wonderful when it comes to engaging with the students and the parents. You know that they truly care about the students. Tristar isn't just a martial arts academy. It's a family, and my family is so blessed to be part of theirs.

Message: We've been at Tristar since 2006! I first chose Tristar because of their respectful, positive attitude towards their students and then found out that they are amazing trainers, leaders, and martial artists. Their staff and instructors are both skilled and friendly, and I appreciate their dedication to their students. I speak from experience as my son is currently a third degree black belt, I earned my first degree, my daughter an advanced brown belt, and my youngest is starting off and in her fifth month of training. What impresses me the most is they are always improving how they run things and how they teach. Watching my daughter's classes, I still can learn something new every time!

Message: Tristar has been amazing since we first made the call to sign up for classes. Their Little Ninja and Ninja Kid programs show 4-7 year olds how to focus, the basics of martial arts, and how to have fun, along with a real life learning lesson each class (meeting new people, stranger danger, introducing yourself, courtesy) These are amazing programs for young kids. The older kid and adult programs focus more on the art of martial arts and the focus, determination, and self control that goes into the art. All the instructors are trained and advancing themselves in the field and are great people to know and meet. Thank you Tristar for a great experience!

Message: Tristar has been a great experience for our family. My daughter really enjoys going to take classes here and has really stuck with it without any coaxing on our part which we've found with many other activities she's tried. The BJJ classes my son has gone to are fantastic, the instructor is amazing! Highly recommended.

Message: We started our 5-year old son at Tristar to learn the basics of self-defence. Right away, we were impressed with how well the instructors taught the children's classes. They made the classes lots of fun while teaching the kids the different karate positions and moves. They went on to teach other important lessons such how to handle bullies and strangers and how to introduce yourself to other kids and people. I was so impressed that I decided to sign up and give it a try in the regular classes. After about 5 months, I enjoyed it somuch that I committed to their 3-year black belt program. If you're looking for a good karate school for your kids, or if you're an adult looking to try karate for the first time, Tristar is a great place to go.

Message: Tristar has introduced my son to a whole new world of confidence and self- discipline. He has learned that by keeping a positive attitude he can accomplish almost anything he sets his mind to. Although Tristar has helped him to develop many new skills in the martial arts, I can truly say I am impressed with the many positive personal qualities he has acquired. The instructors constantly model the behaviors and respect that we all would wish our children to display.
